THE EUROPEAN MARKET · CHECKED OCTOBER 2026

How booking platforms charge European venues.

Restaurant apps in Europe usually combine a monthly fee with a commission per diner, and often push discounts. Beauty marketplaces take a share of new clients. Here's the model behind the main names.

PlatformMainly forHow it charges you
TheForkRestaurantsRestaurantsMonthly fee plus a commission of about €2–2.60 for each diner who books through TheFork, including returning guests. Promotions and discounts are common. Rates depend on your contract. source 1
OpenTableRestaurantsRestaurantsMonthly plan plus a fee for each diner seated from the OpenTable network. US list prices are $149–$499 a month plus $1.00–$1.50 per network cover; European rates vary. source 2
QuandooRestaurantsRestaurantsStopped taking new bookings after 30 September 2026 in its remaining markets, including Italy, and is shutting down its platform. source 3
TreatwellSalons and spasSalons and spasMonthly fee plus a commission on the first booking of each new client from the Treatwell marketplace (35% plus VAT in the UK; rates vary by country). source 4

The per-diner trap

A commission on every diner includes the ones who already knew you.

When a regular books through a restaurant app instead of your own site, you can pay the same commission as for a brand-new guest. With FlowHub, guests book you on your website, Google, Instagram and WhatsApp, with no commission and no other restaurant listed next to you. If you were using Quandoo, export your guest data and we will import it during setup.

  2. OpenTable plans and per-cover fees (US list prices), summary by Eat App
  3. Quandoo to shut restaurant booking platform by end of 2026 (Verdict Foodservice)
  4. Treatwell cost for UK salons (Whito)
  5. Fresha pricing: plans and new-client fee (Pabau)

THE RECEIPT

Your current platform vs FlowHub, with your numbers.

Take the figures from your last invoice. If FlowHub costs you more, this will tell you.

How your current platform charges you:
€ / month
€ per diner
diners

Count guests, not bookings. A table of four is four diners.

Example: a commission of about €2.30 per diner, the middle of TheFork's reported €2–2.60. Add your monthly fee from your contract. Replace with your last invoice.

Compare with FlowHub:

Fees are only part of it. FlowHub has no marketplace, so it won't list you in front of new diners or clients the way an app can. What it does is get you booked on channels you own, and keep the guest list and every message to it with you.

QUESTIONS

What European venue owners ask us.

Not answered here? Ask us on WhatsApp.

Which countries does FlowHub work in?

Any. Onboarding is remote: one video call, then we build your booking page, import your guest list and connect your channels. You usually go live within 48 hours, wherever your venue is.

How much does FlowHub cost in euros?

Starter is €75, Growth €199 and Pro €319 a month. One flat fee, 0% commission on every booking. Today every plan is billed in Indonesian rupiah (IDR) and your bank converts at checkout, so the exact EUR amount on your statement can differ slightly. Local taxes may apply.

Does FlowHub take a commission per diner like TheFork?

No. FlowHub charges one flat monthly fee and 0% commission on every booking, from every channel. You don't need to offer a discount to get booked.

Who owns the guest data?

You do. Your guest list stays in your FlowHub account, and you can export it as a CSV file at any time.

Does it work for spas and salons?

Yes. Spas book therapist and room together, packages as one block and couples treatments as one booking. Salons and barbers book by stylist with real service times, and a rebooking reminder brings clients back on schedule.
